Message	you described, on weak panels(ie Honda's) and will flare it out somewhat. But it's main purpose is to roll the inner lips(the excess metal on the edge of the wheel well). I would'nt recommend rolling in the lips though because it's there to add strength to the fender or quarter panel and also to protect the wheel well from collapsing. -Jeff
